The AK380SS Stainless Steel Package from Astell&Kern combines the stainless steel AK380 Portable Hi-Fi Audio System with the PAF11 Headphone Amplifier and a Van Nuys carry case.

The AK380 is a media player and USB DAC that supports a wide variety of audio formats including WAV, FLAC, ACC, MP3, WMA, OGG, and more in addition to DSD. It is equipped with a dual DAC AKM AK4490 chip that allows for native DSD playback, meaning it does not need to convert DSD files to WAV prior to analog conversion.

The AK380 can be controlled via its 4.0" WVGA touch screen and features a physical volume knob. The unit has 256GB of internal storage, and supports microSD cards up to 128GB, for a total of 384GB of potential storage.

Thanks to its streaming capabilities, you are not limited to playback of songs you have on your device, as it can stream tracks from your Mac or Windows computer connected to the same wireless network.

The PAF11 stainless steel amplifier is a designed to match the AK380 in both appearance and function. The unit features a built-in 9-hour rechargeable battery, similar to that of the AK380. It includes an 1/8" headphone jack and a 2.5mm balanced out, and charges via a micro USB port.

Both units boast design unity with the AK380 seamlessly fitting into the AMP SS cradle and locking with an integrated screw cap. Once connected, both units work as one with no additional interconnect cables needed and both batteries charge simultaneously.

The volume control is also integrated using the AK380. The package includes a breathable polymesh carrying case from Van Nuys, a micro-USB cable, two microSD card slot covers, and two protective films (1 front & 1 back).
